Editorial Policy

China Starter Guide is an independent, one-person publication. This page explains who is responsible for its content and what readers can—and cannot—assume about the review process.

Editorial responsibility

Wintion is the founder, writer, and sole editor. A “By Wintion” byline means I accept responsibility for publishing and maintaining the article. It does not mean every sentence was independently reviewed by another person.

Research and sources

I prioritize evidence in this order:

  1. Official government, authority, transport, hospital, or public-service information.
  2. First-party instructions from the payment, travel, telecom, or technology provider involved.
  3. Reputable secondary reporting or practical context when primary material is incomplete.

Personal experience may explain context, but it does not replace an official source for a rule. Time-sensitive claims should be checked again before an important decision.

Review and update status

The English library is being reviewed and improved in stages. A displayed update date records a content change; it is not a promise that every external fact was reverified on that date.

When a guide receives a focused source review, its claims and links are checked against current primary material. Until then, readers should use the guide as an orientation aid and verify critical entry, legal, medical, payment, and transport details directly.

AI and translation disclosure

Research organization, drafting, copy editing, and translation tools may assist production. Tool output is not treated as evidence and may contain mistakes. Wintion decides what is published and is responsible for correction.

Non-English pages may include machine-assisted translation. Those pages remain outside the search index until they receive suitable human language and factual review.

Advertising and editorial independence

Advertising does not determine the subjects, conclusions, or recommendations on this site. An advertisement is not an endorsement by China Starter Guide, and advertisers do not review the editorial content.
